The Mulligan concept is a manual therapy treatment concept developed by the New Zealand physiotherapist Brian Mulligan. Its core techniques are Mobilisation with Movement (MWM) for the extremities and Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glides (SNAGs) for the spine.

Characteristic is the combination of a manual joint glide with an active movement by the patient. While the therapist maintains an adapted gliding movement in the joint, the patient actively performs the previously painful movement. A clear reduction of pain during the technique is a prerequisite (pain-free concept).
